John Polachek has had a successful career executing turnkey building projects for the data center, cable, telecom, 911 towers, healthcare, food processing and other commercial industries for over 25 years. John’s professional relationships and depth of knowledge of concrete structures, DC Power and building infrastructure has made him a perfect fit at PVI. John has been leading PVI’s client relationships since 2017.
John started his career at Lee Industries Inc., the leading manufacturer of stainless steel processing equipment for the food, pharmaceutical, chemical, and bio-tech industry all over the world. Their largest domestic clients were Frito-Lay, Fuji Film, HJ Heinz, Pepsico, Coka-Cola, Interstate Brands, General Mills, Ely Lilly, Warner Lambert, Pfizer, Day-Zimmerman, Weight Watchers, and Campbell’s Soups. John managed production (3 shifts / 6 days a week), scheduling, purchasing, warehousing, shipping and interaction with all customers and clients.
John spent 10 years of his career at Oldcastle Services, which is the leading worldwide manufacturer of factory built and site built concrete commercial and industrial structures as well as standard precast products and precast underground utility products. He started out managing operations personnel, then quickly moved into client relations. As a project manager he executed all facets of the project from estimating to field execution. Over time John was promoted to VP and directed a team of project managers, estimators, field managers, site managers, purchasing agents, warehousing, sales teams, transportation engineering, safety, environmental department and production. As a VP john had responsibility over project financials, contracts, and customer strategies for the business unit. This included tracking performance of all areas, operations and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
At PVI John is the Vice President of Client Relations. John and his team are available to our clients for everything from site walks and writing SOWs to complete design builds. John has lead the project execution of our clients small installs to erecting entire buildings. John has extensive project reach from adding $3MM EV charging stations to the new Miami Dade electric bus fleet to building $5MM cable headends. With PVI John parlayed his two years with Alpha Technolgy to specialized in cable/telco infrastructure projects such as DC Power, AC distribution, Data Center builds, High Density cooling, Low Voltage cabling, IT racks install, generators and paralleling switchgear. Yet, John still has built over 100 EV charging sites for the power and energy industry.
